Kim studied at Nottingham Trent University and qualified in September 2018 with a degree in Veterinary Nursing. Kim has 18 months experience in the profession whilst studying and then qualifying. When not at work Kim likes to travel, her favourite place is Scotland and visits regularly with her partner. Kim shares her home with 2 Chow Chow’s called Tommy and Tai-lee.
Rachel joined The Pet Vet in October 2018. She studied the Foundation Degree in Veterinary Nursing and qualified as a RVN in 2012. I have two Border Collies called Leelou & Ripley. We spend all of our spare time as a family out walking in the countryside and I also enjoy dancing at a local dance school. I enjoy all aspects of nursing but my particular interests are orthopedic surgeries, caring for inpatients & intensive nursing.
Daniel grew up in Dewsbury before studying and graduating in 1987 from University of Liverpool. Daniel has worked over the UK and Ireland. Daniel has an interest in all aspects of general practice but in particular, surgery, soft tissue, orthopaedics and ophthalmology. Daniel holds certificates in medicine and ophthalmology, and is studying for a certificate in surgery. Away from work he enjoys watching rugby league and attending live music gigs.
Donna joined The Pet Vet Ltd in April 2018 working alongside the Group Practice Manager and the Head Veterinary Surgeon. She has worked in the Veterinary Industry for 23yrs, working in ECC for 11yrs.
Danielle has always wanted to work with animals, and since January 2018 fulfilled this dream. Danielle lives at home with her partner and two cats – Snowflake and Smokey. In her spare time she loves socialising with friends and family. She also enjoys spending time in her garden and greenhouse growing her own vegetables.
Jane joined the Pet Vet Barnsley branch in 2016. Her hobbies & interests are holidays, walking her dog Sooty and going out for meals with her friends. Jane is also a volunteer on a local school PTA and loves spending time with her family.
Jo started at The Pet Vet 2016. She has a total of 6 french bulldogs, a rottwieler, 2 cats and 2 horses
Hayley is one of our student nurse Monday to Friday and our Animal Care Assistant/Customer Care Assistant on a weekend.
Our practice group is led and managed by Laura Blackford. Laura joined The Pet Vet in July 2017 bringing a wealth of practice management experience from varying roles. You are likely to see Laura in and around our reception area as she is always keen to receive feedback from our clients!
Sarah qualified as a RVN in 2012 and she is the senior veterinary nurse at our Barnsley branch as well as a clinical coach. At work Sarah has a particular interest in animal diabetes. In her spare time Sarah enjoys concerts, listening to music and going out with her friends.
Our expert team is led by our Head Veterinary Surgeon, Niamh. With over 10 years experience in the field she works extremely hard to ensure our veterinary surgeons are providing the best level of care in the profession. Niamh has 2 cats and lives in her Doncaster home with her partner.
