At The Pet Vet we pride ourselves on providing the highest standards of care. We encourage our clients to visit the surgery, however we are aware that this might not always be possible and will accommodate a home visit appointment when specific circumstances arise.
At The Pet Vet we have the facilities and training to care for all small animals. However, most of our patients are dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs. Due to birds and exotics requiring expert knowledge we occasionally need to refer these to specialist centres.
The Pet Vet are proud to have extensive laboratory equipment enabling our skilled veterinary team to run many in-house blood and urine screens. There will be some tests that we can’t do in house and will need to be sent to an external laboratory.
Surgical procedures are performed daily by our very skilled Veterinary Surgeons.
Operations can be booked via the telephone or at the surgery. Our dedicated nursing team admit patients in the morning. Whilst your pet is in our care, you will be regularly updated with their progress and expected discharge time.
We endeavour to ensure your pet will return home the same day following an operation. However sometimes they might have to stay overnight, especially if additional treatment is required. This will always be discussed with your first so that an agreed care plan can be established with you.
At The Pet Vet we are committed to our patients receiving the highest standard of care and we always consider the animal’s best interests above all else.
We believe strongly in continuity of care and for this reason we will always endeavour to ensure you see either your preferred Vet or the same Vet following your last visit to the practice.
