We're finalists at the UK Customer Satisfaction Awards 2026!

We're delighted to share the news we've been named finalists in the UK Customer Satisfaction Awards 2026, facilitated by the Institute of Customer Service, in the Best Customer Experience category. This is our second finalist accolade in recent weeks, after also being named in the Best Family Business category at the Lloyd’s British Business Excellence Awards.

Our CEO Dr Mel Fuller says: “Achieving finalist status at these prestigious awards is testament to the talent, drive and passion of all our colleagues, who consistently aspire to deliver the highest standards of clinical care and exceptional end-to-end customer service. We don’t do the brilliant work for external validation, but it’s certainly appreciated and celebrated when we do receive these incredible nominations.”

Our vision

Chairman & Founder Dr Rob Jones MRCVS (pictured alongside Dr Mel Fuller) opened the first The Pet Vet surgery in Doncaster in 2011, with a vision to have the best people working in purpose-built facilities with state-of-the-art equipment to deliver exceptional clinical care and customer service at a fair price. To date, we have 12 independent surgeries across the country, and working alongside Mel, Rob remains actively involved in the business, ensuring his founding values are sustained. Rob is steadfast that The Pet Vet remains in his family; always.

For customer convenience and wrap-around patient care, all surgeries are open 364 days a year, offer home visits, late night appointments and overnight hospitalisation. Weekend and evening appointments are available with no surcharge – even for unregistered customers.

And because we're independent, and not governed by a corporate entity, we have the flexibility to tailor our offering to suit the needs of our local communities and the clinical interests of our teams.

Offering advanced in-house diagnostics & treatment

Our teams have capacity and capability to perform advanced in-house diagnostics and treatment, without the need to outsource to an external hospital or referral centre. This includes services such as CT scanning, orthopaedics, cardiology, composite dentistry & platelet-rich plasma therapy. For customers, this means they can receive an end-to-end service, benefitting from more options, greater convenience, and reduced costs in their choice of care plans for their pets.

Financial support for customers

We understand the impact of the cost-of-living crisis and have put various cost-savings measures in place to support our customers. This includes fair value pricing, which is reviewed quarterly and unlike 80% of surgeries checked by the Competition & Markets Authority (CMA), published on our website. We offer Pet Health Plans, enabling customers to save up to 70% off the cost of their pet’s preventive healthcare and receive direct delivery of their pet’s routine antiparasitic medication. As of this year, all our surgeries offer CarefreeCredit interest-free finance plans (subject to eligibility), and we also provide ongoing 10% discount for over 60s, the Armed Forces & Blue Light workers.

Limited-time special offers

Until 31 December 2025, customers can also receive the following:

  • Fixed price dentals – a stage 1 dental for £300 (includes dental x-rays, a full oral health assessment, charting and scale & polish), and a stage 2 dental (if any extractions are required after a stage 1), capped at £900.
  • A free initial consult for lumps & bumps – if your pet requires further treatment.
  • CarefreeCredit 0% payment plans on bills from £300 instead of £500 (subject to eligibility).
  • £30 credit for every friend they refer.

T&Cs apply.
