The Pet Vet complete their nationwide re-brands of The Vet

We're delighted to have recently completed a re-branding project to align all the surgeries in our estate with The Pet Vet brand.

Independent and family owned. Always.

Established in Doncaster in 2011 by Chairman & Founder Dr Rob Jones MRCVS and under the leadership of CEO Dr Mel Fuller, The Pet Vet has expanded through organic growth and acquisition, while remaining firmly committed to our independent, family-owned roots.

Growth and acquisition of The Vet

In July 2022, our group grew from 4 surgeries to a group of 12 after acquiring Quality Pet Care Ltd, trading as The Vet. Immediately after the acquisition, we restructured our operating model, whilst in parallel, created growth career opportunities through upskilling our team members and investing over £150k in new equipment. To complete the integration, in July 2024, the 10-month re-branding project commenced.

Ongoing investment & support for our teams

Investment across all our surgeries is ongoing, ensuring our large, modern facilities are well-equipped to support our teams in delivering the highest standards of customer service and clinical care. This has attracted best-in-class veterinary colleagues and created capacity and capability for our teams to perform advanced in-house diagnostics and treatment, giving customers a convenient and cost-effective alternative to external referral.

Throughout the recent changes, our teams have been kept well informed and as a result, colleague engagement and satisfaction has remained high. There are currently 275 colleagues (and counting) at The Pet Vet and having achieved a recent employee net promoter score (eNPS) of 75, we’re confident we have thriving teams in place that will help to provide a solid foundation on which to grow.

What the future holds for The Pet Vet

As The Pet Vet continues to evolve, one constant that will never change is Rob’s desire for The Pet Vet to remain a family-owned business for generations to come.

Rob says: “There’s huge ambition for us to be able to offer more advanced treatments, unlock the use of technology to further enhance our customer service and patient care, and to reach new communities. Our aim is to deliver exceptional clinical standards in state-of-the-art surgeries, whilst maintaining our caring, compassionate culture that meets the needs of each local community.”
