Are you full of ideas, confident bringing people together and happiest when you’re making things happen? Can you turn a great story into engaging content, organise an event and show what your marketing has achieved?
We’re looking for a creative, proactive Marketing Co-ordinator to help grow The Pet Vet’s customer base, strengthen our community connections and bring our brand to life.
We’re an independent, family-owned veterinary group with 13 surgeries and an ambition to become the destination veterinary group in the UK. You’ll play an active part in that journey, delivering marketing that helps customers discover our care and colleagues discover their next career opportunity.
Working closely with our Head of Marketing, Content Marketing Manager, surgery teams, designers and agencies, you’ll turn ideas into activity that makes a measurable difference.
Your role will include:
Creating, scheduling and publishing engaging social media content, adapting your approach to each platform and audience.
Getting out into our surgeries to capture customer stories, photographs and videos, with appropriate consent and clinical approval.
Managing Facebook and Instagram activity through Meta Business Suite and Ads Manager, including paid campaigns, targeting, budgets and reporting.
Delivering marketing across digital, email, print and events, keeping projects on track and within budget.
Coordinating local community events, surgery open days, company-wide events, colleague celebrations and charity initiatives.
Building relationships with local businesses, schools, charities and pet-related organisations.
Supporting campaigns that grow registrations, appointment bookings, Pet Health Plan membership and awareness of our services.
Reviewing results, sharing what you’ve learned and using those insights to improve future activity.
You’ll have a good working understanding of all major social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube and X, alongside practical experience using Meta Business Suite and Ads Manager.
You’ll be a strong communicator who can write engaging copy, create or brief visual content and adapt a message for different audiences. You’ll also understand email marketing, analytics and campaign reporting, and be comfortable connecting creative activity to business results.
Organisation matters here. You’ll need to manage several priorities, pay attention to the details and follow through on deadlines, whether you’re publishing a campaign or coordinating an event.
You bring energy, enthusiasm and a sense of fun. You’re curious, enjoy meeting people and spot opportunities for a story, a connection or a better way of doing things.
You’re confident sharing ideas and getting others involved, while listening carefully and adapting your approach. You’re brave enough to offer constructive challenge, decisive within your remit and resilient when plans change.
You can work independently, take ownership and finish what you start. You welcome feedback, learn from results and want to keep developing.
Above all, you’ll demonstrate “Get it, want it and can do it”: understanding what we’re trying to achieve, bringing the motivation to make it happen and following through with action.
Our values guide how we work every day: We care, Can do, Team first and Better every day.
Being connected to our surgery teams is an essential part of this role. You’ll work from a surgery at least two days each week and travel to all 13 surgeries within each three-month period. The majority of your surgery-based time can be spent at a local surgery.
For travel exceeding 2.5 hours each way, overnight accommodation and subsistence are provided. Flexibility is needed to support events, which may take place during evenings or weekends.
We’d love to hear what you could bring to our team. Apply with your CV and tell us in your cover letter about a campaign, piece of content or event you’re proud of, the part you played and what it achieved.
