Here are a few tips to help keep your pets cool and well-hydrated: 

🐾 Always provide fresh, clean water
Make sure your pets have access to clean water at all times, both indoors and outdoors. In hot weather, refill bowls frequently and consider adding ice cubes for extra cooling. 

🐾 Bring water on walks and outings
Don’t forget a portable water bottle or bowl when you’re out and about with your pet. There are many travel-friendly options that make it easy to hydrate on the go. If it’s very warm outside, consider leaving your pet at home in the cool with a fresh bowl of water. 

🐾 Make hydration fun
Try offering pet-safe frozen treats or making your own ice-cube goodies using low-sodium broth or small pieces of fruit. Many pets enjoy licking ice or playing with floating toys in water bowls or paddling pools. 

🐾 Watch the weather
Limit outdoor activity during the hottest parts of the day (typically 11am–4pm) and opt for early morning or evening walks. Always provide shade and rest breaks. 

🐾 Consider wet food
Adding wet food or mixing a little water into dry kibble can help boost your pet’s fluid intake, especially for cats who may not be big drinkers. 

• Cats can be notorious for not drinking enough water. If your cat isn’t a fan of their water bowl, try a cat water fountain. Many cats are drawn to running water. You might know this already if they take an interest when you’re running your taps! You can also experiment with different bowl materials or placements around the house.
