It was a weekend of inspiration, celebration and plenty of laughter as colleagues from across The Pet Vet came together for our 2026 ‘Strive to Thrive’ leadership conference.
Bringing together our leaders from across the business, the conference was an opportunity to share ideas, strengthen relationships and explore how we can continue to help our people, our surgeries and our group to thrive.
This year’s event was particularly special as we celebrated 15 years of The Pet Vet; a milestone that reflects the dedication, passion and hard work of the people who have helped shape our journey as an independent, family-owned veterinary group.
We believe that great veterinary care starts with great people. Supporting our teams, investing in leadership and creating opportunities to learn from one another are all important parts of delivering the high standards of care our patients and their owners deserve.
Our ‘Strive to Thrive’ conference gave our leaders the opportunity to step away from their busy surgeries, share experiences and explore new ideas for continually improving the care and service we provide to pets and their owners, while continuing to make The Pet Vet a great place for our colleagues to work, develop and thrive.
We were delighted to welcome guest speaker Sue Firth, who delivered an inspiring session, encouraging our leaders to reflect on their approach to leadership and personal development.
We were also joined by Richard Enion, who brought everyone together through an energetic drumming and team-building session. With plenty of rhythm, enthusiasm and laughter, it was a brilliant reminder of what can be achieved when people work together.
This year marks an exciting milestone for The Pet Vet as we celebrate our 15th anniversary.
Over the past 15 years, our business has grown, but our commitment to providing exceptional veterinary care and creating a supportive environment for our colleagues has remained at the heart of everything we do.
Our leadership conference was a fantastic opportunity to recognise that journey and, most importantly, celebrate the people who make it possible.
The evening celebrations embraced a glamorous fancy-dress theme, with colleagues swapping their uniform for their finest outfits. There was also plenty of karaoke, singing and dancing, making for a memorable evening!
One of the highlights of the weekend was our annual awards ceremony, recognising the individuals and surgery teams who have gone above and beyond over the past year.
From colleagues who bring our company values to life every day to surgeries achieving outstanding results, the awards celebrated the many different ways our teams contribute to The Pet Vet’s success. These awards are a wonderful opportunity to recognise the commitment, teamwork and enthusiasm that our colleagues bring to their roles every day.
Events like this wouldn’t be possible without the people who make them so special.
Thank you to Sue Firth and Richard Enion for their fantastic contributions, and to Improve Veterinary Education, NVS Group and LickiMat for generously providing gifts for our conference goody bags.
Thank you to all our leaders who joined us, shared their experiences and helped make the weekend such a success.
As we celebrate 15 years of The Pet Vet, we’re incredibly proud of the community we’ve built and excited about what the future holds.
Being an independent, family-owned veterinary group means our people are central to our success. We’re passionate about building supportive teams, developing our colleagues and creating an environment where everyone has the opportunity to grow and thrive.
Our ‘Strive to ‘Thrive’ conference was a brilliant reminder that when we invest in our people, share our knowledge and celebrate our achievements, we can continue to deliver great care for pets and their owners.
